Author Ray Galea fondly remembers growing up "in a devout Maltese Australian Roman Catholic home" (his words); he didn't reject Roman Catholicism lightly. He wrote this book for both Protestants and Catholics, that they may see what the official teaching of the Roman Catholic church is.
The main section of the book deals with the Mass,the authority and interpretation of the Bible, the way of salvation, the place of God's grace, the veneration of Mary and Catholic views towards non-Catholics.
The book is an easy read (elegant typography and lots of whitespace help!), however, you may need some knowledge of the Councils of Trent and Vatican II. An excellent primer for anyone wishing to learn what Roman Catholics actually believe (and why it matters), though as Galea points out, many Catholics may not be aware of the official line of the RC church.
