TOMMY’S NEW SISTER was a very cute book about a little boy named Tommy who is initially unable to accept his new little sister into the family. Having been an old child for so long, he is extremely upset by the attention his new baby sister is receiving. He and the family dog, Muffin, hunker down together and he schemes of ways to get rid of her. He thinks about shipping her to his grandmas, and even sprinkles “fairy dust” like in Peter Pan, hoping that she would fly away. She does not, obviously. However, Tommy comes to accept the fact and in turn begins to love her and is proud to be her big brother. This is a very cute story to read to a child accepting a new sibling. ( ) Tommy is very annoyed when he is no longer the only child in the family. Everybody is just stunning at his new little sister. He cannot stand any longer to be the outsider of the family and would love to send his sister to the moon. Until one day, when Tommy is really needed by his sister, everything changes. The book is about the small boy, Tommy who cannot deal with the fact that there is another person except him in the house. This story represents exactly how many children feel when a young baby is born in the family. They have difficulties to accept that parents have to care for more than one child. By the time, Tommy gets used to his sister and begins to like and accept her. A baby always makes a difference for a family, as people have to learn how to share not only materials but also love.
