If it was up to me, I probably would have named this audiobook "Interviews with some famous comics, and some mildly amusing stories from NPR radio". Of course, if I was marketing the book and trying to increase sales, I might have selected a title similar to the existing one. But in reality, it was simply a replay of a number of interviews with a number of individuals from the entertainment business, including Jonathan Winters, Phyllis Diller, Mel Brooks, David Sedaris, etc. talking about their careers. If the book was billed as such, it would have met my expectations, but since it wasn't title that way, to me, it failed to live up to my expectations. ( )

I guess if you like these comedians this is probably a hilarious audiobook. There were a few jokes but most of it was a "type" of humor that for a niche group and I'm simply not in that niche. I laughed may twice. However, I'll concede that there are probably some people who appreciate this humor. To find out if you're one: look at the names of the people interviewed and, if you know the names and like their humor, you'll probably like this book. ( )

Charming interviews with icons of comedy. Some made me laugh out loud, some not so much, but it was a great collection of conversations with major comics. ( )

This was a great thing to listen to while driving a long distance.

One thing tho, it seemed to have an overall theme of Forgiveness. I don't know if that was done deliberately with editing, or if it just seemed to strike me in the middle of the night as I was driving. But each person interviewed talked about forgiveness in some way. ( )
