I bought this book for a fellow BC-member, who had it on his wishlist. Since it is not really my kind of book, I decided not to read it before sending it on.

This is the sequel to Promises, Promises so again we follow the story of Emma, Miriam and Ellen, three women from the Munroe family. This time however we get to see a bit more about the characters surrounding them including the revenge of Suzy on her husband Chris and his mistress/her best friend Alexandra. I actually enjoyed this one more than Promises, Promises and would have been happy to jump right into a third segment to see how life developed over the next few years. ( )

In the early 70's three women deal with their relationship with Chris Wallace. His wife, his lover and the ex-girlfriend who has his child. All three of the women have to deal with their emotions about him before moving on. The book starts with his wife finding out about his lover, her best friend. ( )
