This is a cute little story with cute little illustrations about 3 brothers playing and arguing. It shows the real and natural dynamic of 3 siblings. I enjoyed it and will recommend it to children that are always stuck in the middle. ( )

This is a great book that shows the true dynamics of sibling relationships. Tom is the middle child, John is the youngest, and Mark is the oldest. Tom admires that Mark goes to school on his own but gets annoyed by John sometimes. Even though these three boys sometimes don't get along, the book also shows how they play Indians together. I can just imagine these three boys being real children and doing these exact things. One characteristic I noticed was that Mark was wearing a Tulane and LSU shirt. This truly allowed me to make a connection to the novel. I believe if you read this book allowed to students in Louisiana that they would notice this detail as well. This book could lead you into an author study to see what other books they have done and if they live close by. I would highly recommend this book. ( )
