This would be a great book for primary readers
This book is about a friend and the way that he helps and supports his friend with autism
This would be a great book to read to a class during a disability unit as it directly provides ways to support friends with autism.

This story follows the story of two young boys and how they navigate their friendship when one of them has a disability. The friend talks about all of the things they like to do together such as playing sports, going to the park, and swimming. He explains what he does to calm possible outburst his friend with autism may have. Although I think the themes of navigating friendships with autism are important concepts for students to understand, I think that there may be better books to portray this.

I can see this book being used for primary students but before using it in classrooms I would look to try and find a better book to tell a similar story.

Primary Education
Matt has autism, and so his friend always tries to help him have a good time and never be down.
This book is great for teaching students at the beginning of the year about friends who come into our classroom all aren't going to be the same but each person is special and they are all friends. ( )

A great book about including everyone, even if they're different. I like that this book explains why people with Autism do the things they do, like when they like something, they talk about it all the time.

Children with autism struggle to make friends and navigate social situations. However, one child can make a significant difference in the life of a child with autism by offering compassion, understanding and friendship.
