I liked the concert tour setting, and Ilya is probably the most intriguing love interest, in part because he is from a family with powers similar to the Drake sisters’. That scene in the third book when Ilya reverses Joley’s spell and leaves his mark on her is one of the most memorable of the series. So many of the men in these books never had their own loving family, and that aspect of these couples getting together lends extra charm to the series—people finding belonging and family with the Drakes. As always, there’s quite a lot of sex, and it’s pretty exaggerated and drawn out. I’m not opposed to the steamy stuff, but I enjoyed the tenderness and care between the characters more—the way Ilya was moved by Joley watching out for him and the way they connected when they let their guard down. One more book before I get back to my regularly scheduled reading. It’s been fun gulping these down. Turbulent Seair Drake Sisters, Book 6 I Picked Up This Book Because: Continue the series that I didn’t finish a million years ago. The Characters: Joley Drake: Ilya Prakenskii: The Story: I’m too lazy to write a real review. Overall I like the book. I’ve read so many Sea Haven/Sisters of the Heart books that I forgot there was a time when the Drakes didn’t trust the Prakenskii brothers. The Random Thoughts: Not having specific song/album names drove me crazy for some reason 4 Stars Although I gave up on Feehan's Carpathians years ago, and never really go into her Ghostwalkers, I adore this series. This book has always been my favorite of them. Until this last re-read. I still liked this book, but the small inconsistencies bothered me a lot more this time around. The way Joley kept getting distracted in the beginning bothered me. It seemed liked her safety was important some of the time, but most a non-issue. Considering there's someone trying to kill her and Ilya is her bodyguard, that didn't jive for me. I still enjoyed their relationship. Ilya and Joley were great together. Joley's resisting frustrated me some, but I understand her reasons. While I enjoyed this, I would have to say Hidden Currents and Dangerous Tides were better. Of course, I'm saying that before having re-read them, so we'll see... keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
