It’s all about inflection in this quick read about two monkeys who learn to share a banana. The entire text consists of only two words: “banana” and…well, I won’t spoil it for you. Just know that the second word is a magic word. In a volume with such sparse text, the pictures (and the subtle changes in font and punctuation) become the stars. Choose this book if you are a read-aloud champion (e.g., if you can say the word “banana” in 8 different ways) or if you like a story that can be understood largely through its illustrations. This book is a picture book with two monkeys. One of the monkeys has a banana, and will not let the other one have it. The second monkey screams and hollers for the banana but the first monkey still will not let him have it. Finally, the monkey says "Please," and the first monkey shares with him. Vere is teaching children how to have manners and share with this book. Banana! is an enjoyable book, and children will learn not to throw fits when they want a certain item. keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
