Even though "Amazing Places to Take Your Kids", by Laura Sutherland, is written as a reference book for adults, fourth grade students will probably enjoy reading the text and looking at the photographs that feature 16 "family vacation destinations". Included on the itinerary are Disneyand, Santa Catalina island, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, Yosemite National Park, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Sea World, San Diego Zoo, the Tournament of Roses Parade, the California State Railroad Museum, Alcatraz Island, the Exploratorium, Hearst Castle, Santa Barbara, Legoland, the Big Sur Coastline, and The Getty Center.
