First, I liked how throughout this book it had foldables for the students to look behind to find new illustrations. Second, I liked how the book was extremely interactive and allowed the students to go on their own Easter egg hunt themselves throughout the story. Third, I liked how the story asked biscuit the dog questions throughout the story but also asked the questions involved the reader as well to find out what the answer is, which was located behind the pop out foldables for the reader to find. For example, on each page there would be flaps that the reader opens to possibly find an answer to a question that the author previously asked biscuit or an Easter egg from the Easter egg hunt. The big idea of this story was about Easter and helping biscuit go on an Easter egg hunt to find all the missing Easter eggs. This is a short, easy, lift-the-flap, non-religious read about hunting for Easter eggs. Biscuit helps his friend, a little girl, search for eggs, making sure to look in logs, in tall grass, and under rocks. My six-year-old (headed to 1st grade in the fall) really enjoys the Biscuit books, and was able to read this one herself, with a little extra sounding out on some of the longer words. A nice read for developing readers! Zeige 3 von 3 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen

A mouse keeps popping up for no reason and with no payoff in the end. Some other little critters pop up too, though not as much as the mouse. Is it just Backyard Wildlife Appreciation Day in addition to Easter? But the family has an outdoor cat too, so I'm guessing those little animals' days are numbered. ( )
