This book is a relatively good example of realistic fiction. As a young girl reminisces of special experiences she has encountered with her doll, Noly, the story seems very realistic. The reader can easily relate to the young girl's sadness when she looses Noly, as they most likely have experienced something similar in their won lives. Overall, the story is very realistic and engaging for young children.

I think this would be a good book to read to preschool and kindergarten aged students. It's a good book that tells about the friendship of a little girl and her rabbit doll; in turn teaching children about friendship. I think when reading the book it is more applicable to girls, but the reader could ask questions geared towards boys asking them what their favorite toy is and whether or not it goes with them evrywhere.
