29 months - O loves Angelina so it was an automatic hit. When I read this book and read twirl or spin or anything related to ice skating moves she jumps up says "I can do that" and proceeds to spin around. Then sits down for more story. ( )

I thought that this was a cute addition to the Angelina Ballerina series. I really liked this book. As with the original Angelina book, I enjoyed the illustrations. I thought they were charming, whimsical illustrations that add detail to the story. I also liked this book because I thought that the author's writing was great. The story is written clearly with a quick pace. This entices the reader in and keeps them moving throughout the story. For example, the solution to Angelina's problem about the boys teasing them and having no one to play the snow king comes quickly and keeps the readers interested. The big idea of this story was friendship. ( )

This is an enjoyable book about Angelina and her friends putting on an ice skating show for their village on New Year's. It discusses teamwork and friendship. This book could be used for a lesson on action verbs and vivid word choice. ( )

Angelina enjoys ice skating and is prepping for the Ice Dance on New Year's Eve. As she prepares, she finds herself constantly being interrupted by two boys, Sammy and Spike. Angelina then comes up with a plan to stop the interruptions and involved the boys in the Ice Dance. The boys seem receptive and enjoy the parts they were given. Angelina becomes friends with the boys well after they had antagonized her early on in the story.

Two boys keep messing up Angelina's skating practice for the New Year's Eve show, and Angelina's mad. Her mother tells her that maybe they just want attention, and Angelina gets an idea. Angelina invites them to be in the show, and the show turns out wonderfully. ( )
