Eliza and Isabelle are two young girls excited to get a brand new puppy. They are worried, however, about how their older dog Rosie will react to it. Once Rosie meets the puppy, she's apprehensive but eventually warms up to it. This reminds Isabelle about how she was unsure about getting a baby sister but now loves Eliza. This is a cute, simple, wholesome story about puppies and sisters that love each other. There's not much substance to it but who says all books need to be deep? I liked it and it reminded me of me and my sister's relationship. ( )

This book in particular was my favorite one yet! It was about two little girls that lived with their grandparents and they were going to be getting a new puppy. They already had an older dog-named Rosie, but they are about to get a puppy named Floyd. The illustrations show us exactly what is going on and how the characters are feeling. Rosie the older dog is unsure about Floyd at first, but in the end appreciates having him around. The two little girls also realize that they are happy to have each other as siblings. I think the message of this story is that we can find the good in all things. I also really enjoyed reading this book, because I remember what it felt like to get a new puppy when I was little. ( )

Eliza and Isabelle are so excited to be getting another dog. They are so curious to see if their dog will like the new dog. They are so happy when the dog finally arrives from their aunt. They are surprised their new dog is so small, but grandpa lets them know he is still a baby. The new dog loves the dog they been having and the old dog doesn't understand how to treat the new dog. The new dog aggravates the old dog but the old dog remains calm At the end of the book everyone is just so glad that the dogs get along just how Eliza and Isabelle do. ( )
