Nani Tama looked at each of us - Dad, Auntie Hiraina, my cousin Timi, and myself. His eyes were angry. 'You fullas want me to die here in this room? Looking at these four walls? When the whakapapa is not yet finished?' But Nani Tama gets his own way, and his grandson drives him through the night, to find the missing pieces from the family history. This book has short stories about life and death.
I introduce a last story.
Mr.Blackie is ill ,and hasn't many years to live.
His wife tries to sew a pyajama with their precious silk for him.

The last story is warm but a little sad.
I wonder how she thinks while she makes the pyajama.
I think the pyajama links their hearts together. ( )

this book has 4 stories which are from New Zealand.
I would like to write about the last one. the main character was Mr Blackie who is sick, and he has not long life.
His wife wanted to make his pyjama with silk.
because the silk is important thing for them.

I think they think each other very much. I thought that I want to be such a nice couple as them when I got married. ( )

One day,father called his daughter.
He asked her to take a week off.
And...

By reading this book,I can know New Zealand's culture.
Maori is the name of ethnic people of New Zealand.
I want to know about other country's culture. ( )

This book has four short stories. The boy who asks everything to his parents, the elder who remembers the names of his ancestors, the man who rides on a bike and the elder couple in the hospital.
I felt something from the third story. Finally, he learnt that "life and pain coming together". I think that I should remember this phrase. ( )

My favorite story is "The Silk".
It is very impressive.
I feel it looks like love story a little.
This book is good.
But its English is mixed unusual one.
So it was difficult for me to read fast... ( )
