Stacey Jones commands a place among the most outstanding New Zealand athletes of his generation, or any generation for that matter. In a country that loves its sporting heroes, Jones is an undoubted favourite. He has transcended sporting codes and divides in a way only the chosen few do. Simply, he's universally admired.Jones showed in his teens that he would indeed be a special rugby league player. This is a good overview of Stacey Jones' life and career, however, I was disappointed that this book has a lot of crossover with the earlier Stacey Jones: Keeping the Faith. Having read the earlier book, there wasn't a lot of new information for me in Kiwi Warrior. If you're looking for a Stacey Jones biography Kiwi Warrior is more up-to-date, but for the most part either book will do and both are good reads. ( )
