I enjoyed seeing how they became the team that they are now. They made it off Earth and landed on Mars with it being programed to go their first. They have no idea how they are going to survive and get back to Earth.
Before they left earth Harlow picked up General Gunn and took him to sick bay. They were so impressed by the ship and that they destroyed the other ships but they were only 3 High School kids, movie star that was spoiled and his bodyguard. All of a sudden General Gunn puts in appearance and takes over and starts treating them like dirt and ran them ragged everyday they got stronger and learned more and he pushed them more and more. Made them sleep in the same room, eat the same thing, if one got punished they all did. They hate General Gunn. They keep trying at night to find the bridge but no matter what they do they cant find it again. On Mars if they did not have their special suits they could not live on the planet. Why they were being trained to be soldiers thier families back on Earth were being hasselled by the goverment. IRS audits, houses seized lost jobs because the goverment wanted the ship so the President could stay in office forever and controll the whole planet. The Goverment told their families that they stole something from them and killed a lot of soldiers.
They did not know what happened to them and where they okay till one day they figured out how to get on the web and email them from Mars.
Than they had to protect their families from far away.
The book is long and defintly one you will want to read to find out what happens next. ( )
