It tells the story of the recent history of Luton Town and their fall from a top half 2nd division side to the Football conference in three years. The writer, a fan of the club merges an excellent knowledge of the history of the club and their yo-yo existence before the last five years with a more detailed 'blow by blow' story of the 2007-08 season when it all went seriously wrong. The author's love of the football club constantly shines through and although there is probably some bias against the various owners he is not disingenuous by painting them all as villains. The key message is clear: if football fans don't get involved with what is going on at their clubs they run the risk of disappearing, something that almost happened to Luton Town. Another thread questions the lack of care shown for lower division clubs by the big Premiership clubs and the football authorities. As I write this Luton are pushing for a play-off place in the Conference and I am sure they will be back in the Football League before long. ( ) keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
