This is a wonderful compilation of short autobiographical profiles put together to tell the stories of mix tapes that had been given to the authors by an ex-boyfriend or ex-girlfriend in the past. Each 2-3 page story humorously tells the story of a doomed relationship set in the time period where the music was lovingly dubbed together. The original cassette and artwork was perfectly replicated to show the great care and effort put into each cassette. I loved this book as it immortalized these lost relationships and examined those early days of love when you used to find yourself scanning the lyrics of each selected song for hidden meanings and insight into the new object of your affection. A great, beautiful color book (i.e. buy the hardcover, not the e-book!) which highlights the lost art of mix tape giving and receiving.… (mehr)
Found Polaroids is pretty skimpy compared to the other books in the Found series. Still, as a photographer and someone who collects old photographs, I was fascinated by these humble snapshots. Who were these people? And why did they leave their pictures behind. Like the other Found books, Found Polaroids is a voyeur's dream, but I wish there were more accompanying text. It feels a little unfinished.

If you've read "Found", you know the drill. People send in strange photos they've found, with the difference being that "Dirty Found" has all the Adults Only images. Without the images, any attempts at explaining the jokes will flounder, so just take my word for it that it's hilarious.
