This is the most amazing book. It explains the fundamental principles of how garment patterns work, how to adapt them, and the symbols and pattern-cutting basics used in the garment industry. The book is clearly laid out, with clear illustrations. It is a little repetitive but this just reinforces the lessons you're learning.

Having read this I feel confident about understanding, creating and modifying patterns and know I will continue to refer back to it often when sewing.
