I know Al from my USAF flight safety days. He is spot on in his criticism of the central failure of the military's accident investigation methodology: that high-ranking officers control the process and manipulate it to cover up embarrassing information or to protect the crooked contractors they plan to go to work for after retirement. Al is somewhat alarmist, however, about the day-to-day dangers of military aviation.
