I received this book from LibraryThing in exchange for a review here and on my blog Samwise Reviews. Overall it was good, but not my cup of tea. The characters had a lot of potential, but the chemistry between Greylen and Kael seemed forced and I didn't like how weak and almost useless it made Greylen. It was just a bit much. Plot wise I found 75% of it to be moderately paced, then the ending ramped up and I'm still not sure what's going on with her and the Archangel. I assume the next book will answer all the questions about her past, the necklace, and the prophecy.… (mehr)

FIGHT FOR DARKNESS by Susan Stradiotto and Sophia-Rose Johnson: Allow two days for this mature adult cage-fighting paranormal supernatural fantasy phasing between Wickney, Wisconsin, and Penumbra. Trigger warnings for graphic violence and sexual abuse of a minor. 4*

Inheritance by Skye Callahan: Allow a long afternoon for this PG15 supernatural rescue romance involving experimentation on a child. 5*

Shadow and Soul by A. R. Colbert: Allow an afternoon for this PG13 paranormal romance quest for the missing ingredient. 5*

BENEATH THE WAVES OF NEVERSEA by K.A. Last: Allow a day for this strange fantasy adventure when Wendeline, Jonathan, and Michael follow Peter Pan to Neverland. Ronan Hatter is sent there by his mother, the Queen of Hearts, and this is what happens. 5*

“When it comes to paranormal stories I know anything can happen and I’m always open to it. Sweet Lord what an incredible story full of adventure, action, mystery and overwhelming love. Plus the enemies to lovers trope is always charged with so deep and raw emotions. The author did an incredible building of the light and darkness that both Greylyn and Kael represented. Their constant push and pull was delicious to read. Certain prophecy had me on the edge waiting for disaster to happened lol. Talking about se**al tension ugh! There’s still answers that I’m hoping we can soon have.”… (mehr)

First time reading this author and I enjoyed her writing style. Premise of the book: Greylyn is a guardian angel fighting to protect her charges. Kael is the opposite, a dark guardian angel. Despite being on opposite sides, both experience an undeniable attraction. But Greylyn fights not only the attraction but also the realisation that for hundreds of year he’s been working against her.

I really enjoyed this book. The attraction between Kael and Greylyn was fantastic, I felt the push and pull of both characters. I enjoyed the timeline, over centuries, gives a really good perspective of how long these characters have been working against each other. I can't wait for the next book, it was left open ended so keen on getting answers in the next book… (mehr)
