Elizabeth Goddard (1)

I grabbed the first in the series to read first, but this title could be read as a standalone. While it is nice to have the context of characters and landscape, the author does a good job of introducing those things to the reader in this second book as well. Layered with twists and turns, the mystery unravels with connections to past and present that are unexpected but delightful in this page turner of a romantic suspense. Hold on tight, it's action packed but also beautiful. Definitely made me want to book a trip to Alaska to see some of that beauty for myself! You'll really feel for (and with!) the characters as they experience pain and grief and genuine fear in situations no one is sure they will get out of alive. Overall, I am glad I added Elizabeth Goddard to my list of romance+suspense+faith - she does not disappoint! Excellent read for fans of Lynette Eason, Irene Hannon, etcetra.… (mehr)

I didn't get a chance to guess any of the mysteries!

I have rarely found suspense that surprises me with the many I've read and finding many of the same plotlines yet Elizabeth Goddard manages to surprise me at least once every book, and with "Present Danger" I found that I didn't guess anything correctly.

The plot kept me guessing, the romance was a sweet second chance, and the family ties for both main characters were a touch that I loved, along with the wounded warrior who kept popping up.

The bottom line? "Present Danger" is another 5 star thriller from Goddard!

Mini Review of Always Look Twice by Elizabeth Goddard:
After quickly reading the first book in the series the night before I started reading this one I was excited to find out more about the brothers and their relationship, with spot one suspense that was somewhat bothersome for me, and hard to stomach, I didn’t enjoy this one as much as the first just because of the cruelty of certain characters that I pegged as the bad guy, then thought I was mistaken, and so on several times yet I was surprised by the bad guy and the ending. Where is the next book!?!… (mehr)

Don't Keep Silent has been on the top of my to be read list for 2020!

With a cover like this one I expected this to be my favorite of the series. Sadly, I was wrong. Now, don't get me wrong! I enjoyed Don't Keep Silent, I just didn't find it to be my favorite in the Uncommon Justice series.

Liam's and Rae's relationship was one that I loved following. I just didn't love the way that the suspense was carried out, and it may be that this is just me at this time, I don't know.

While in all I loved Don't Keep SIlent, I was somewhat disappointed that Liam was the only McKade brother that was in more than a couple of scenes. I had hoped to see the brothers and their spouses together.

Still, I look forward to more of Goddard's books!

Due to the crimes dealt with this book is recommended for 16/18 up.
