The book I Use Science Tools is a great book to help early learners explore tools they can use in their scientific experimentation. I like how the first tool/skill mentioned is using a pencil to write down what you learn. It's important to document your findings. Next the book talks about different ways of viewing things. You can use a magnified glass, microscope, or a camera to help you video objects. Then it talks about using a ruler, scale, and beaker as tools to measure. I like how there are a couple questions at the end to help engage the students in their own thinking. Also helpful is the picture glossary at the back.… (mehr)
This was a really sweet book about the different things that companion animals do to help people. It had really good pictures that showed the relationships that the animal and people have together and I think was super informative. I think that this kind of book is good for kids of almost any age because the pictures tell the relationship almost as good as the words! Media: Photos
