Bought for me by my wife who knows absolutely nothing about the game but thought it might be a good read. It certainly was. I dont suppose many people under 30 would have even heard of Peter (unless you were a fan of one of his clubs) as he'd had his moment before they were born. This book has a strange way of making you feel sorry for a man who squandered a fortune having had the world at his feet when he moved to Arsenal. Perhaps its his honesty and flat refusal to blame anyone other than himself for his downfall, which in todays world is almost unique made me warm to him. I never saw the man play and finding footage of him via the web is proving difficult, which is a shame. Fair play to the bloke for being so honest and its nice to hear that professional scottish teams in the 70's seem to have been ran like Sunday sides are today only with wages included as well.
