This one was fun to read. The prose is lucid, tone - conversational and the content interesting - the same school as Khushwant Singh et. al. I read his "Editor Unplugged ... ", a sequel so to speak, just before I took this one up. I wish I had done it the other way around, but the two books are stand alone like that, and I don't think my reading suffered much. If I had to pick just one book of the two, I'll take "Lucknow Boy". Mr. Mehta seemed to be in a bit of a hurry to bring the books out. I think the content in the two books taken together would have read a lot better if they had been presented as a single volume with a little restructuring. Never mind the commercials. I am sure he has a lot more to say, and if someone were to commission another book, it'd still find takers. I am surprised that there isn't more out there from him, in book form, being in publishing and all and for all those years ...

Well, it seemed honest but he writes in Outlook diaries a lot better than he did in this book.
