Inside Interpol von Tom Tullett
Bought my copy at the Galle library in Sri Lanka. An old, super beat-up and cheap paperback, twas. Yet this book proved to be reasonably well written and, for the most part, really fascinating. Several of the stories (and there are quite a few!) proved to be the cream of the crop: the double smuggling story about cigarettes, Tangier, Sardinia, France, and Malta; and the complex story in chapter 15 regarding murders and the last public execution (by guillotine) in France (1939). Also a bit on how Interpol got its start. Finished 18.04.20

FAMOUS CASES OF SCOTLAND YARD'S MURDER SQUAD: FROM…
A great journey through britains most high profile cases between the said murderers. I would ask serous questions of anyone British who couldnt find at least one case interesting in this book, perhaps it could be extended as it falls teasingly short of the Yorkshire Ripper / Dennis Neilsen era of mass murder. A compelling read.
