>1 soffitta1: Aren't you the early bird? I'm still trying to read some more in 2023; in over 3 weeks I should be able to knock some off!

Sorry - I couldn't help it! Basically I worked out that all the books for my challenges are not on my current list, so decided to get started on organisation.
Also looking ahead at my Category Challenge for next year so I can see how many from here I can add.

January reads

1. The Sun Sister
2. One clear ice cold January morning at the beginning of the 21st century
3. Abundance
4. The Radium Girls - well-written book on the forgotten side of the story
5. The Dictionary of Lost Words - what an awesome book!
6. Scattered all over the earth
7. Discretion
8. My Name is Leon - highly recommended
9. The Woman in Blue

I sorted a lot of my books and had already put them into categories where I could, so this has helped my focus.

>18 soffitta1: I'll have to keep this book in mind. I was in Oxford for a visit a couple of years ago and walked around the Jericho region. I even went into a used bookstore there and bought The Dead of Jericho. :)

You know, I have never been to Oxford! Cambridge loads of times, but never Oxford.

Read in February

10. The Devil's Elixirs
11. The Calligrapher's Daughter - a bit long-winded at times, but really interesting
12. Land of milk and honey - good follow up
13. The Women of Troy - can't wait for book 3

>21 soffitta1: I loved Silence of the Girls, so I'm looking forward to reading The Women of Troy sometime. I hadn't read anything by Pat Barker earlier, but received Silence of the Girls through a BookCrossing roundabout, which is another instance of my discovering a great book through BC!

March

Three books read as well as 4 from my unregistered TBR pile.
14 The Dark Angel - I ay enjoying making my way through Dr. Ruth Galloway's cases. I need to get hold of the next one.
15. East, West - I have had this for a while, some interesting stories, but I prefer his novels.
16. Butterfly Fish - I liked this, there was a lot going on, moving between time periods. I want to read more my the author.
