DNA in the story

I read two books recently where DNA was used in the story.
We Carry Their Bones by Erin Kimmerle is the true story of Dozier Boys School in Florida where DNA was used to identify the boys who died and were buried at the school. I understand that Colson Whitehead's The Nickel Boys is based on this school. The second book is The Forever Witness by Edward Humes. This is the first case where Cee Cee Moore used genetic genealogy to help solve the case. Both are excellent reads.

They sound like emotional reads.
