Love, love, LOVE this cookbook! I received it as a Christmas gift from my husband. Over the holidays, I cooked several of the recipes and enjoyed them all. I like how the recipes are grouped by season which highlights in-season produce. Gorgeous photos for inspiration as well. ( )

One gets the sense that these recipes are for more accomplished cooks than the average homemaker. Ingredients and recipes are slightly too complex, sounding more like restaurant-style dishes than something to feed the family. The stories and snippets seem to try to make it more appealing to the amateur chef, but combined with the recipes, ends up a little confusing. That being said, the recipes do sound delectable, and pictures, though too sparse, are simply stunning and make the reader want to try the recipe despite all. ( )
