~ 4.5 Dog Day Stars ~

Dog Days of Summer is book one in Rolling Thunder series by [a:P.J. Fiala|7866768|P.J. Fiala|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1392858648p2/7866768.jpg]. We get mature characters, romance, and steamy love scenes.

Joci, mother to Gunner, loves riding free on her motorcycle. She does not trust easily with her past experiences with men and so it takes time and commitment to get her to open up and love again.

Jeremiah Sheppard (Dog), owner of Rolling Thunder Motorcycles, and father to twin boys. He has fought for his country, raised his son’s with his family’s help, but has not found that one special women yet.

The world and characters felt real and authentic, with the Veterans Day ride as well as having an older more mature couple with life experiences be our leads. The writing is well done and flows smoothly. I did a spotlight for this book on my blog and was suppressed to receive a gift copy from Ms. Fiala. I devoured this book in no time at all, probably because I could not put it down. I was pulled in and enjoyed this book more then I ever expected too. I liked how the author brought Joci and Dog together. It was not a quick thing, but built up over time. The family relationships are heartwarming and sweet. The sex is oh so steamy, light the sheets on fire, hawt and you can feel the love is true. These two fight, love and try to build a life together.

Dog Days of Summer was a great read! I enjoyed the storyline, writing, and I can’t wait to read more in the Rolling Thunder series. Ms. Fiala brought realism to this story that I truly enjoyed. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves mature characters and steamy love scenes.

I LOVED THIS BOOK!!

P.J. Fiala writes about family units at their finest, working together to support Veterans and each other. The hero, Dog, is a guy in his mid-40's, strong, and tall with long sandy blonde hair. In other words, he's pretty hot! And, he's a biker, too! The heroine, Joci, is a petite, loving, single mother who is looking for anything but a relationship. But the attraction is there, and Dog has his work cut out for him if he wants to make a go of it with her. Is she worth it? You'll have to read the book to find out. No spoilers here!

This is a wonderful, fun, summer read that I know you'll enjoy - and, by the way, the sex is pretty hot, too!

Dog Days Of Summer is a heartwarming and passionate erotic biker romance that features a mature couple's (mid-40s) second chance at love.

Jeremiah "Dog" Sheppard is a military Veteran, single father of adult twin boys, and owner of Rolling Thunder Motorcycles shop. True to his military roots, Dog hosts an annual charity ride, The Veterans' Ride, with all the proceeds donated to local veterans.

Joci James is a single mother of an adult son, Gunnar, and owner of a graphic design and marketing business. Gunnar works for Dog at his motorcycle shop, who asks Joci to help him with the plans for the next charity ride.

When Joci and Dog meet, there is mutual attraction, but she has an issue with men since her ex-husband cheated on her. Dog is determined to break down Joci's walls and show her that love can be found the second time around.

Author PJ Fiala weaves a wonderful erotic biker romance that easily draws the reader into Dog and Joci's love story. This passionate story is interwoven with enough angst, drama, suspense, family relationship dynamics, and steamy sex scenes that keeps the reader engaged and turning the pages. I loved that this is a mature romance (both characters are in their mid-40s) with real life issues, and a believable relationship that slowly develops from a friendship and blossoms into love. I loved the chemistry that Dog and Joci shared, their attraction is palpable, and I found myself cheering them on as their relationship developed. I loved how the storyline intermixed the biker theme with the honorable giving back to veterans via the annual charity ride.

Dog Days Of Summer is an enjoyable erotic romance about a hard working, fun loving, biker couple who get a second chance at finding true love.

Disclaimer: I received a copy of the book from the author / publisher in exchange for my honest review and participation in a virtual book tour event hosted by Goddess Fish Promotions.

Of course I loved this book.

Jeremiah is a hot bike shop owner with a heart. He served in the Marine Corp. during Desert Storm, where he suffered loss. He gets a trashy biker-bitch pregnant and comes home after the war to raise his twin sons. He opened Rolling Thunder Motorcycles, Inc. and began building some of the hottest bikes around.

Joci is a hot biker babe who lost her parents at an early age, went through a little wild streak, got pregnant and got dumped. She raised her son, Gunnar on her own while building her graphic design/marketing business.

Coming together to put together a charity ride for Veterans, they meet. But, it isn't all sunshine and roads! Follow Joci and Jeremiah as they ride the roads, fight, love and try to build a life together. ( )
