Lily has come out about what she is and now she is getting some very unique people coming to her for help. She helps out selkies and other supernatural beings. Her biggest case is Rae who was possessed by the goddess Morrigan. But now she has more trouble coming her way, it appears that other demons are after her too. She does get to finally meet her father. She still has her job with the government and there is a big Surprise coming from that end. This was a very enjoyable read with lots happening and so many twist and turns. Something new comes out in the end but whether it’s good or bad we don’t know. Cannot wait for the next book. I received an advance copy and the views and opinions are my own.

A story of good against evil. There were a number of twists that involved love, family, and an relationshi. Truth and good triumphed after the succubent min character realized that love has many forms and what we want and need doesn’t have one definition. It held my attention and kept drawing me back to read more. I would like enjoy reading additional books if the author chooses to continue this story. I choose 4 stars because I was confused at times when a new twist was added and the connection wasn’t clear even at the end of the story. Perhaps this will be clearer in future tales.

Yeah, not a winner. The beginning was interesting - a very strange world, here-and-now with the addition of demons, in secret. Lily was a bit annoying with her low self-esteem (I'm dangerous, avoid me!), but it read like she might develop into something more. And in the end, it kind of worked out - she did improve, on several levels. But the middle was unbearable - I finally had to just skip over a chunk. She made wrong choice after wrong choice after the worst possible choice, over and over. I really liked the scene where she warded off Kaine and his plans... and then she ran away, leaving her boss with the worst possible interpretation of her (stupid) actions. I dislike unreliable narrator anyway, which is most of the point of this book - and apparently the next one too, she's going to have to deal with another brainwashed demon (or cambion, I couldn't tell from the excerpt). Excellent writing - rich characters, very good description, great dialog - but not a story that was worth reading for me.½

I received a free copy of this book for an honest review.
Cambion's Blood is the second book in the Cambion series. It's about Lily investigating some murders, all men with blood drained and in their throats some feathers. Lily stumbles upon a young girl while she investigates the case, but it complicates things when the young girl is the the daughter of her former mentor. Feeling guilty about the way things ended between her former mentor Lily takes the girl under her wing and tries once again tries to shield someone she feels is innocent and find the real killer.

I enjoyed this book as much as I did the first, it progressed the plot and you learn more about Lily and her internal struggle because of her powers. No spoilers but the ending left me wanting to read the next book to see what Lily will do next. It's a solid urban fantasy series and I hope to see more of this world, there are so many possibilities for stories I am looking forward to see what direction Lily takes next

I read this book because i won book two in the series in a giveaway and i hate reading things out of order. It's a well written story with a well developed plot and interesting characters. i just didn't feel like i was reading anything new or different.
I think if you're new to the urban fantasy/romance genre this would be an excellent series to start with, but if you've read a lot of it you're going to feel like you're doing a reread. This could just be her laying the ground work for the rest of the series, we'll see😊😊

I did like how murder happy this author was, this book was a blood bath lol.

First, let me say that I was given an early reviewer copy of this in exchange for an honest review (through the LibraryThing Early Reviewer program).

Now that that's out of the way... I really enjoyed this book. The exposition didn't feel gratuitous. Even the sexy parts moved the story forward. I kind of wish it had been a standalone - not sure why everything has to be a series now - but still a really well written and fun book.½

Given my recent interest in the court system, I was hooked by up and coming prosecutor Lilly Knight, a half succubus moonlighting as an ordinary human in San Francisco. That is, until she trips over a succubus corpse in the park and is dragged into a string of murders, a rushed prosecution, and too many secrets with a handsome knew acquaintance and an insufferable old friend. This NA fantasy romance stands alone while leaving strong hooks for the sequel.

Lily is a Cambion; half human and half demon. Someone is killing demons and Lily has to figure out who. Loved this book! Loved the twists and turns

I found this a fast paced read with lots of action. I would have liked a bit more character development between the various action elements, and also some follow through and consistency in the earlier details of the main character, Lily, and her subsequent actions. However if you enjoy a light, action packed book with supernatural elements you may enjoy this book.
