I was given Order of the Dimensions for and honest review by Irene Helenowski

Jane is a graduate student working on a dimensional gateway at Madison State University and has made herself a dimensional leap frog. As she leaps from dimension to dimension she discovers a conspiracy ran by Dr. Anton Zelov who is apparently her husband in a few of those dimensions. Now she and some of her colleagues are apparently in a race to retrieve the Order of Dimensions and prevent it from landing in the bad guy’s hands.

When I was asked to read Order of the Dimensions, I had decided to check it out carefully because I don’t usually read much sci-fi (except Star Trek and a few erotic romance) even though I love watching sci-fi. When I went to Amazon and checked out the preview that they allow us to read I was able to get into those beginning snippet and agreed to give it ago in reading for the review. Now that I am 21% into this book I am not so into it and I am sorry for that as it is well written up to the point I have gotten so edits don’t seem to be an issue in the complete reading of this book. I am getting motion sick from the dimensional jumps and constant change in dynamics leading me to the opinion that this story just isn’t for me and needs a reader that is a sci-fi reader and will truly get into and enjoy this book. Giving this book a rating seems very unfair since I only read 21% of it and it is going into the “I could not get into list” so no rating will be given and I hope the author much success for her series with those who will appreciate and enjoy reading it.

Jane is a university student involved in the development of the Multiverser, a machine capable of sending objects or people to parallel universes. When she demonstrates the device to Dr. Anton Zelov, little does she know that the dark Russian plans to use it to achieve world domination, and Jane has no choice but to travel to different dimensions to try to stop him.

First, I should say that I am not a big science-fiction fan, and this might have contributed to the fact that I didn’t really enjoy this book. Unfortunately, the only positive comment I have about Order of the Dimensions is that it has an original concept. I found the story sometimes confusing, especially with all the jumping to other dimensions. I also felt that the narrative was too rushed. In fact, it could have used more details and descriptions, particularly for the action scenes. In addition, many inconsistencies appeared throughout the book. One in particular bothered me: how come Jane never encounters herself in the other dimensions, except for once? Furthermore, there were a lot of spelling and formatting errors (for example, there was no chapter 17 but two chapters 18). Finally, repetitions of several words, most notably “henchmen”, distracted the reader from the story. While Order of the Dimensions had a lot of potential, it unfortunately missed the mark.

Order of the Dimensions was sent to me for free in exchange for an honest review.

The third book in the series and just had to read this immediately after finishing book 2. You can read my reviews on book 1 here and book 2 here

Things get worse, power creates a darker vicious controller, Anton is now President and completely out of control. The Order discards certain dimensions on a whim leaving them non existent, these null dimensions are where anyone caught breaking the law would be sent or even their parents. We also learn of red dimensions - forced labour and forced to live in slum like conditions. Anton and The Order were becoming ruthless and cruel in everything they did and you certainly see the darker side as you read.

How on earth was all this going to end? What would it take? It is down to one person who has to make the biggest decision of their life, especially when their current life is happy and they are completely unaware of what a loved one is really capable of in other dimensions, until they are shown.....

More of a story line in this book than the chase in the second book but don't expect the pace to slow down, you may be flicking back to check things out and keeping up with this amazing author. You connect with the characters feeling their pain, grief and sadness. Although it's hard to believe you even feel for Anton when you read about his sadness.

I would suggest reading all the books in order to really get a tight grip of who is who and the full background of the story to really enjoy the final book to an awesome series.

I couldn't wait to start this book especially since I was so engrossed with the first book in the series which you can read my review here

The power struggle continues as Anton Zelov continues to crave revenge, power and world domination. Behind it all is the most powerful black box to be invented, called the multiverser, which can be used to travel into other dimensions of life, where you life and everything about it is completely different and is lived by your 'alter'. Only now the scientists have invented ways to change co-ordinates and more worryingly without the user knowing in certain circumstances.

Jane, who loves her sweetheart Randy is also the love of infactuated Anton's life. As she celebrates her latest achievements she is encouraged by her colleague to take a short trip in the multiverser but little did she know that Anton would hijack it and take her to another dimension where she is no longer married to Ritchie with two lovely children. She is now Anton's nanny with no knowledge of her previous life.

When Randy realises, the cat and mouse chase begins, in and out of numerous dimensions, different lives and scenarios. Will Randy and the Federation finally be able to stop the viciously clever and sneaky Anton and rescue Jane?

Yet again the author has baffled me with how she puts this all together and manages to keep on top of it to keep the story interesting and alive. I did have to flick back a few times to keep up myself but that's the beauty of being involved in the chase. I found myself looking forward to every moment available to read more and the short chapters didn't help when trying to put the book down.

I would definitely recommend reading the first book, Order of the Dimensions, first as it's a great introduction to the fantastic characters in the wonderful storyline.

This series of books began with ‘Order of the Dimensions’, where Jane and her team of graduate students work, with their professor, on a box, which can transport people into different dimensions.

In the sequel, ‘Revised Orders’, Jane is tempted again by her friend Amber to enter the box and the adventures in different dimensions continued.

In this third book, there are many more dimensions, though the original characters remain throughout. However, one has to remember, of course, that in the different dimensions, the lives they lead, their priorities, families and whole character are totally different. I would heartily recommend that these books are read in sequence for the most enjoyment.

In ‘Final Orders’ there are many more dimensions, and the scientists are being forced to create even more. The world has changed, and The Orders, in many realms now hold power over life and death. They are now monitoring people, and have the ability to send unwanted people or groups into the null space. With the ability to look into the past or the future, hard choices have to be made, and manipulation, cover-ups, lies and deceit rule. However, underlying it all, the story contains a strong vein of love and loyalty, with the characters trying to do what they feel is right, at that particular time, after all, who knows what their choice would have been in another dimension, or with the benefit of hindsight?

This is a really exciting story with many twists and turns. The complex plot keeps you on your toes, I found it compelling reading, and once I had started page turning, I couldn’t stop until I had finished it.

For science fiction fans and those fascinated with time travel the theories in this book are fascinating and I would highly recommend it.

In the first book of this series ‘Orders of the Dimensions’, Jane Kremowski and her team of graduate students work with their professor to make a box which will enable them to visit other dimensions.

In this, the sequel, encouraged by her friend Amber, Jane, yet again finds herself persuaded to enter the box.

This a sequel, in every sense of the word, and so I would strongly recommend that ‘Order of the Dimensions’ is read first.

The characters in this book are the same. Of course, in the different dimensions, they are totally different people, with different partners and lead totally different lives.

Fans of the first book will love the way that the original characters continue to evolve, and the villain becomes even more fiendish.

To tell more, I think, would spoil the book, all I can say though, is that this is an exciting, multi-faceted science fiction thriller, with plenty of twists and turns and a plot which will keep you on your toes.

So, give your brains a good scrub before you start reading this, otherwise you may never keep up. This is an amazing book, and a total must for science fiction and time travel fans.

The author has written a fast, exciting story, with a plot which will keep you guessing. And, for those who love this book, the author has just released the third book in this series 'Final Orders.'

As I was reading this work, I kept thinking how visual it was, the plot, the character development, the good vs. evil, and the concept of the Multiverser invention that permits time travel. I was thinking of younger readers and how much they might enjoy this story as a graphic novel or an animated cartoon. It is not that much of a reach to let one's imagination run with this story. I hope this is not a put-down for Ms. Helenowski, but I could really see a publisher or television media type do something bigger with this. One of the studios could turn this into an animated script. I think it's worth the read and needs to be elevated to another "dimension.'' My thanks to the author for a complimentary copy in exchange for a review.

I wasn't able to finish this book, so I won't rate it, but I wanted to comment as to why. The dialogue seemed exceedingly stiff to me. I'm in a research lab and no one actually calls each other Dr. Sure that can vary, but colleagues who work closely together are unlikely to be so formal. There was also an unnatural element to the dialogue. It frequently felt like the characters were saying things just so the reader could be clued in since the other character would likely already know or not care. I also felt the beginning was a bit slow and overly descriptive. A machine being able to teleport objects should be gripping and awesome, but I felt absolutely nothing. The premise is a good idea, but I think some more editing would be beneficial for this one.

Exciting, multifaceted sci-fi thriller.

When I started reading this book, I was fascinated into how it would develop, it didn’t take me long to discover the answer – very quickly!

When Jane and her team of graduate students work with their professor on a box, which can transport people into different dimensions someone has to try it. Jane decides to and makes a terrible discovery; very soon, she and her friends are desperately struggling to save the world.

This is a very fast-paced sci-fi thriller, with the characters having totally different lives in the other dimensions. A multifaceted story containing spies, a love story, many twists and turns and a cliffhanger at the end, I would recommend this to young adult and adults who enjoy reading futuristic sci-fi books.

The writing was mainly fast paced and easy to follow, however at some parts the novel lagged on. The way that the author describes the different dimensions was interesting and easy to understand, which is not always the case with scientific based novels and innovative ideas. The way that the characters’ lives were totally different in each dimension kind of reminded me of a play off of the TV show Fringe.

I understood Jane as a character and was able to relate to her feelings and that desire for something better and different.

Note: I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I'm usually pretty picky about what I read. I have a hard time straying from my usual genres and authors. But (usually) when I do, I end up finding something pretty spectacular. That's what happened with Order of the Dimensions.

I'm a bit of a nerd, so I tend to watch the history channel a lot. I watched this show where they talked about the possibility of there being multiple universes out there, and in each one you were fulfilling all the possibilities and going down all the different paths in life. For example, there might be a universe where I was never born, or one where I'm a boy, or one where my parents died when I was young, and so on. Ever since then, I've been fascinated by that possibility. Order of the Dimensions satisfied my mild obsession with the idea of multiple dimensions.

This story is pretty fast-paced and full of suspense. I didn't put this book down until I was finished reading. You're constantly wondering who's going to come out on top, who's going to get their hands on the Multiverser (a black box that allows for travel between the dimensions). This is one of those books that keeps you on edge because you can't really predict what's going to happen next.

As for characters, I really like Jane. She's easy to empathize with, and you can't not want to be on her side. I was cheering her on the whole time, and I definitely would've had her back if I'd been in there fighting against Anton Zelov and his Order. Anton is such a sinister man! There's no magic in this book - it's all science and inventions. Anton isn't casting spells or using dark forces. He is just an evil man with a dark heart, and sometimes that can be the scariest thing of all.

Order of the Dimensions was a fantastic read. It lost a star because there were times when I felt a little lost, like I needed more information than what was provided. There were also some typos, but I probably only noticed those because I'm super picky about spelling and grammar (that's what being an English major has done to me). Overall, this was a wonderful, thrilling story. I definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys sci-fi, or to those looking to start reading books in that genre.

“Order of the Dimensions” by Irene Helenowski

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

This book was a quick read even though there were over 300 pages. I would say it was an easy read; however, I know that some of the readers may get confused with all of the abbreviations and scientific terms. I personally understood the terms because I was a science major in college, but someone without a science background might have a hard time keeping up. Putting vocabulary to the side, the idea of the story was great. The story was so good that it outweighed the complex language. Overall, I would give “Order of the Dimensions” by Irene Helenowski 3.75 STARS!

Ms. Helenowski created a science fiction novel where multiple dimensions existed and science was able to take you there. Most books I read about different worlds involve magic, and magic never entered the equation once in “Order of the Dimensions.” I thought the idea of different dimensions was great, especially since the average person was unaware of their lives in another dimension. Main character, Jane Kremowski, was a brilliant physics major. She helped to invent the Multiverser – a black box that can transport you to another dimension with the correct calibrations. When the Multiverser falls into the wrong hands, more specifically into Anton Zelov’s hands, chaos erupts. Anton Zelov is the antagonist of “Order of the Dimensions” and brings the spice to this novel. Zelov is a former Russian spy and current mastermind of the Order. The Order is the work of Anton Zelov, where he places people from all over the world in the dimension that they would be most beneficial to him. He can even put certain people into a black dimension, which is just a large abyss full of nothing. Jane and her colleagues of the Resistance try to do whatever they can to stop Anton; problem is that it’s hard to outsmart a master manipulator. Find out what happens in all the different dimensions in this science fiction story, and what the characters are like in each dimension!

I personally enjoyed Irene Helenowski’s novel “Order of the Dimensions.” I thought it was really cool how people could travel to different dimensions just by the correct algorithm and calibrations. I will admit that I was a little intimidated with this novel before I read it though. Even with my science major, I was a little nervous with how this book was going to read when I read the synopsis. In addition, I admittedly was a little hesitant with the cover too. I do not ever read a book based on the cover, but with the cover and synopsis, I was afraid that this book would not read as a fiction novel but as a nonfiction science lesson. I was wrong! However, I do think that if the cover was more visually stimulant, there would maybe be more potential readers. My whole point of saying this about the cover and synopsis is because I do not want anyone to hesitate in picking up this book. Give it a chance! It was interesting and fun while reading about each character and what they were like in each dimension. I would recommend “Order of the Dimensions” by Irene Helenowski to science fiction fans, both young adult and adult.

I was really intrigued when I read the book description about being able to travel to different dimensions of live and I was certainly not disappointed. In fact, after reading the first couple of chapters I was hooked. The chapters are nice and short, which makes it so easy to read 'just one more' then another and another. I didn't want to put the book down and looked forward to picking it back up to read more. A very quick read for a slow reader like myself.

Without giving too much away, the story follows the main characters Jane, a physics student, her other half Randy and Anton Zelov, a former soviet spy. Imagine one day being married to the love of your life then in a split second being sent to another dimension where all is lost and you are married to your enemy.

A black box called the multiverser had been created at the lab where Jane was placed that allowed people to travel to other dimensions where life was totally different each time you entered. In order to travel to multiple dimensions you need the masterboard to control it. The dark side called The Order, led by Anton Zelov, wanted all this to himself so he could have total world domination. He was also infatuated with Jane and would do anything to get her. The power struggle begins as Jane and the side for justice The Federation will not allow Anton to get away with this.

You follow the story through various dimensions feeling the shock, sadness and desperation of the characters involved as they cope with loss, entrapment and confusion of what they face in each dimension. The author has done a fantastic job with the complex storyline, it was easy to follow and I only found myself referring back a couple of times.

The story is full of twists and turns and you really feel the characters emotions as you read. I really enjoyed the book and would absolutely recommend it.
