This quickly read novella, part one of two, is written in the personal perspective of Emma’s handwritten log, explicitly explaining her personal methods of satisfying her sexual urges, her attempts at using a gym membership and sex dating app to track down trysts, and the gaining of a membership into a secret sex club to fulfil her growing desires. Many readers may view this as a guilty pleasure tale for mature adults, but I was more considerate of the psychological underpinnings behind Emma’s actions and thoughts as I read her thoughts behind her actions, a view of a physical addiction to heal mental anguish. This is the first book written in English by the Danish author, which may be a reason for the occasional grammatical error, but these errors do not distract from the reading and can be taken in as common errors found in a personal written log.… (mehr)
