Satisfactory ending to the trilogy...believable, in that not everyone of the "good" characters gets out unscathed, or even alive. But good does triumph over evil!

Continuation of "The Lightbringer Trilogy", or "The Nations of the Night Trilogy"...
Book 2

Lots of action, expected and unexpected twists, still lots of disgusting vampires (I hate vampires)...but the rest of these books are very enjoyable, aside from the "undead", so I will continue reading the series and recommend it.

I first read this RPG as a collection of books published by Corgi in the 80s. This hardcover book assembles all of the books into one volume. As a game it is lean and simple, but with a medium fantasy celtic/medieval focus which is very British in tone. I was pleased to be able to acquire this new edition.

The word didn't always fit what they described and they lacked a true action element that might drive one to enjoy this genre. I'm a fan of vampiric stories, especially ones where the vampire is the hunted rather than the hunter. This book, while trying to draw on that concept, takes too much out of its reader. Frequently I kept wanting to just give up on the book. It needs to be edited, with less characters. Centralize the plot more with less. I had the rest of the trilogy, but don't expect to read them.… (mehr)
