and the story comes to an end, events come full circle. There's a lot of sections that move quite quickly (and smoothly) but it is what it is (personally if I was Bjorn's wife I would be anything at peace with the situation she finds herself in at the end. There's more than a bit of 'super-Bjorn' (no-one else has every been able to solve X, even those who helped didn't have the curiosity to follow the trail and discover it themselves.

Regardless of my nit-picking, it really is a good read for a weekend.… (mehr)

Continuing my comfort re-read of this series. Second book so the tension is rising and things are looking bad at the end. There's the man in power who has good intentions but in acting out of fear is actually hurting his people. The characters are well written, some were very young (but I didn't get frustrated with their naivety) things move very quickly (which is a nice chance of pace from some of my other recent reads). Bjorn is afraid of what is to come and starts exploring places he really shouldn't. Basically it's jut a very enjoyable read.… (mehr)
