Blackwolf is an Ojibway culture resource, teaches at the University of Wisconsin, and is co-author of three books: The Healing Drum, Listen to the Drum, and Earth Dance Drum. Blackwolf is a tribal elder, born and raised on the Lac Corte Oreilles reservation in Northwestern Wisconsin. After enlistment and service in the Korean conflict, he attended pre-law school at Marquette University, and fell into alcoholism for twenty years. Sober since 1977, went on to become a licensed psychotherapist specializing in substance and cultural abuse, and raising consciousness about social injustice.
