If you know and like Erickson style therapy, you will probably like the book. David Key was trained in NLP, which Milton Erickson influenced.

I took one of his (David, not Milton) internet classes and I loved the way that he taught so I bought his book. I could hear his voice the entire way as the book takes place as a long conversation as you drive from Miami to the Keys. I do think it's funny that I lived in Miami and never went until David "took me" on a joyride. The metaphor had an additional layer of meaning for me so I appreciated that!

I will say I think the book is partially mistitled though. Yes it was a joyride, but not so sure there were three principles, I probably took away about three DOZEN potential principles from this book. Maybe that was the intention. Or maybe that is because I am overly susceptible to anything that even looks like it was influenced by Milton Erickson so I am seeing possibilities in things David didn't intend!
