This wordless book follows the storyline of a young girl we in exploring the ocean and conquering her fear of the water/waves. I loved this book! The illustrations are simple yet filled with things to notice and wonder about. Observations about the young girls facial expressions, the color on the page, and the seagulls are all great things to discuss with primary students. I could definitly see myself finding a use for this book in my future classroom and having impactful conversations about it with students.

This book's illustrations were simple but beautiful and told the story of a young girl at the beach who overcame her fear of the ocean. Students can look at this book and decode the emotions the character is feeling by decoding her body language. The use of color is very cool in this book as well. This would be a good book for Kindergarten or 1st-grade students, and they can think about how pictures play a role in the story. They can work on analyzing what other people might be thinking or feeling and can add language around what they see. This could be an introduction to inferences, and empathy, and students could pause and fill out a sentence frame for different pages (The character feels ______. I know this because ____)

This book would be best for primary grades. This book is about a child at the beach and the way this child interacts with the ocean and the waves. I would love to have this book in my classroom, even if it's just for independent reading I would have this book because of the artwork and the imagery. this book could also be used to teach about emotions, as this is depicted in the child's facial expressions and even in the behavior of the waves.

This book is great for students who cannot yet read or are just learning to read, because there are no words. This book is wordless and displays amazing art work across the pages. It tells the story of a young girl on the beach interacting with the water. Despite having no words, the story line moves along easily and would be great for early readers to understand. In a class this could be used to quietly flip through, or as a read aloud because despite there being no words, the class could be thinking or verbalizing what they see happening on the pages.

This book is for primary aged students. This wordless picture book depicts a little girl on the beach facing a multitude of ocean waves. It goes through her journey of feeling fearful to enjoying playing in the ocean.
This book is very simple and can be understood by any level of student. However, it may be more beneficial for older students to be asked to draw meaning from the color and features of the design of the book. There can be a lot of meaning drawn from the art in the book, making it a valuable resource tool for older students.

It is a picture book, so you get to make up your own words and phrases in your head. I would use this in the classroom when it came to creative writing time.

This is an illustrative book with no words that show how the little girl meets the ocean by herself and tests the limits, very cute, there are only three colors used and although there is a lot of art you still focus on just the interaction between the little girl and the ocean, this is good for 2nd-3rd graders.

This book is good for a primary age group, or anyone that appreciates simplicity in art. This tells the story of a girl playing in the ocean, experimenting with the coming and and going of waves. It's a great book for helping students explore plot and infer what is going to happen next.

This book was very enjoyable to read and engaging. Despite there being no words I could pick up the story easily and I loved the illustrations. The story line of a little girl being pushed down but then being reminded of the beauty around her was super easy to pick up on and inspiring to young children who may be going through a hard time.
