Trey and Hailey's story, one of my favorites in the series, has brought out the emotions as I've read it. This story will have you riding the emotional roller-coaster as Trey is the mellow, doctor, brother of Marco, Nico and Sophia. He gets to fix up the injured and he works as a surgeon at the hospital. Hailey has a naughty side and gets herself caught up in a big problem at the hospital. Trey rescues her but there are still big issues. Plot twist that noone sees coming. This author writes phenomenal stories that have you feeling the action, drama, mystery, romance, all of it like you are right there. It's the only series that I yell at the characters in the book like I yell at the TV. I am so engaged that it makes the book a winner for me and that's how it has been the whole series. The characters are so full of human personality and quirks that they feel real and you can empathize with them. The plot flows smooth, no chop, even with going back and forth between characters. The story feels so real One of my favorite authors because of the fact that she can keep you engaged all the way through. I would give it more than a 5 if I were allowed. This is an incredible series that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The author creates strong women that go through some hard challenges with some men that end up surprising them. Action, heat, and romance help this author create 3 of the best books I've read in a long time and I'm a fan of this series.

No Way Out: No Way Out by Amy McKinley was an intriguingly, intense book. The story of Max and LIliana is intense and full of action. The story starts with Max blowing up Brambilla's warehouse like it is nothing. BAM! That is just the opening move in a story full of danger, thrills, action, drugs, cartels, bad deals, and any other bad things you can think of. Brambilla thinks nothing of using his daughter, Liliana, in these deals. She's just property to him. Maxi is out to rescue her. Keep in mind, there may be more than the eye can see. The story is so good that it was like reading a mafia film on paper. I could picture this in my head (that's the sign of a good book.) The characters were so well written. Your sleaze-bags like Raphe, etc. left you feeling like you needed a shower just after reading about them. This book was so very good. The action just continues until the very end.

Blood Oath: The story of Enzo and Sofia. What an action-packed story! I can't give away any of the story. Starting from the beginning,, you are pulled into it by the memories of the childhood they went through and then through the trials and challenges they have when Ivan comes into town. Man, these two have been through so much together. If you read BLOOD OATH (book 1), Max and Lil will pay a visit. Enzo and Sofia have go through so much and they did a blood oath when they were younger. This is a true power couple. This is one of my favorite authors because she writes all her main characters so strong and capable. The writing is so well-developed. The action never fails to suck you in and hold you captive until the end. Give this series a shot. This is the second book and it is so worth reading.

Born In Darkness: This author is one of my favorites. Her characters are strong, well-written and the story is always driven with a KAPOW climactic ending. This series does not fail. You get sucked in at the beginning with the action and just don't want to leave. This mafia family is twisted and all these guys want is to get out. You can't help but find yourself rooting for them. They go through some pretty tough challenges but will their love make it? You are going to have to read it to find out. This is one series that will keep you active and involved.… (mehr)

Phenomenal book! The story of Luc and Summer was exciting, intriguing and entertaining. Susan is running from the Mafia. Luc is joining the Mafia. They have a unique set of challenges to overcome. The story is very engaging with its characters that are contemporary Mafia characters. They will pull you write in. You get to reading and can’t put the book down. You have to know what’s coming next. I love the fact that previous characters from the series are tied in. The author has written the series in such away that it all intertwines in such a comfortable way. The plot is really challenging. I love how it takes a twist that you weren’t expecting. This is a terrific book in a fantastic series that you must read. Just one-click it, you know you want to. I would give it more than a 5 if I could. It’s one of my favorite reads for 2022.
