I was so sorry to see this book end! I feel like I have lost several friends. Bruz Tyrrell had me with the first paragraph and held me until the end. This was no 'whodunit' but I found I could not put the book down.

Bruz Tyrrell was 5 when he got his first job-sweeping out the flying school. His family wasn't rich but his family wasn'thurting for money. Then the Depression hit and Bruz's father was injured on the job. In a time before Penicillin was an everyday word, his father's infection never healed and he finally sucumbed.
