La Chancellerie des Universités de Paris a institué, en 1986, le prix Henri HERTZ, sur legs consenti par Madame HERTZ. Le prix "récompense une oeuvre [historique, critique ou de fiction] propre mehr anzeigen à faire connaître et comprendre les préoccupations éthiques ou civiques du courant auquel il a appartenu".  Né en 1875, Henri Hertz était journaliste et écrivain. Symboliste, ami d'Apollinaire, Max Jacob, Alfred Jarry, il fut un témoin engagé de son époque.
