Über mich
I was born in the ever growing metropolis of Taipei in Taiwan. When I was two years old, my family moved to Hong Kong, a city caught between two worlds. It was a clash that manifested in only the most beautiful ways and it offered me the chance to hone my skills in English. I discovered a love for writing at a very early age with my first book which was a handwritten encyclopaedia of dinosaurs made up of several sheets of paper, stapled or sometimes taped together, complete with poorly drawn pictures. It was immensely popular between myself and my mother.

Throughout my secondary school years, I would write poetry, like anyone caught in the inescapable dramas of adolescent life. Only this time, some of my poems attracted a lot of attention which made me proud and kept me writing. More and more I grew to admire the strength and power of words, both simple and intricate. Each one a building block with a long and fascinating history and each one beautiful enough to hold its meaning throughout centuries. I didn’t want to keep writing poems. I wanted to use these words to weave incredible tales and create impossible dreams. So I wrote novels that I planned to publish. I kept writing, day and night. But the fables this teenage boy composed needed polish and shine. Some of the elements from those unpublished writings still survive however. I’ve written little bits and pieces into my newest novels which I have yet to publish.

My debut novella was published only recently. The Masks of Monsters is an adventure, a dark hand welcoming you into a world of mystery and horror, an introduction into an epic and dark series that is yet to begin.
