castle of magic or similar? Series, TV series

This was one I helped solve before, I think? So I'm banging my head figuratively speaking, trying to find the books so I can try book one again. There was a TV series on it, and it involved maybe a castle? Magic? Time travel perhaps? About four books in the series. The titles are just beyond my reach... Does anyone recall this? It's from either the late 80s or early 90s.

Or was it house of magic? Something. In one the title mentioned waterfall I think. In another lake maybe? It's not a TV series on DVD unfortunately. Only on video, so I haven't seen it since I saw a little on TV.

I did read the beginning of the first book and I think the children arrived by train ... one of them met a man who seemed strange?

Now of to see if I can find the TV series (2 seasons)

I'm going to read the entire series this time. :) It was interesting enough to stick with me and I've been thinking of it off and on the past few weeks or so, trying to recall it! Not much on the TV series. See amazon.co.uk. I haven't ordered any videos though. Youtube might have something at least to see what it's like?

Oh bugger, I was just told that the season 2 I have just ordered is probably an illegal copy.
All my software and DVD's/music is legitimate. I HATE piracey. If the complete version (even though
it is NTSC) is legit. I will get that. Please advise.

You could ask the seller to cancel not send and get the bank to refund? Did you use something like paypal? Heard they have a dispute option to get refund.

The amount is not much ($25 US) and is another lesson on being careful.
