Well I read Elantris first, then Alcatraz versus the Evil Librarians and am currently reading Mistborn, next will be the sequel.
Alcatraz is young adult fun more like Artemis Fowl but with more outrageousness. I absolutely loved it. Elantris was good but Mistborn is decidedly MUCH better. Currently Elantris is a stand-alone novel. If you have it go ahead and read it and know that the rest are better yet.

OMG, reading_fox, I almost sent you Elantris for Secret Santa.
Elantris is a good place to start. Warning: his books all have the "Brandon Avalanche"--the plot picks up to lightening speed in the final third.

I read Elantris and loved it. I then read Mistborn and loved it! I finished Alcatraz versus the Evil Librarians a couple of weeks ago and loved it. uumm....there seems to be a pattern developing here! I have not read The Well of Ascension, but I will.

>3 littlegeek: lg, I'm mightily amused by the fact that you call it the Brandon Avalanche, considering that in my review of Elantris last summer, I described it as "once I got to about the halfway point of the book, it started gathering momentum like rolling down a mountain". Too funny!
Elantris is the only one I've read, although I've got Mistborn and Alcatraz calling me from my TBR pile.

#5 I stole the term from his website. It's very descriptive.

See, I guess I'm in the minority because personally, I liked Elantris WAY more than Mistborn, although I really liked Mistborn, too.
Alcatraz versus the Evil Librarians was funny and a great read, but it doesn't ring like a bell when you shake it like his other books. It's very YA. (Not that that's bad... It's just more rompy and fun then thoughtful and character driven. It's just a very different type of book.)
OH, and he's got a great e-book on his website called Warbreaker that is killer good.
I like his books in this order:
Elantris
Warbreaker
The Well of Ascension
Mistborn: The Final Empire (although obviously you have to read this one before WoA.)
Alcatraz versus the evil Librarians
**Edited to add clarification.
