Thanks for that. I enjoyed it. It made me think I should bring Aurora into my TBR pile.

Thanks for sharing that. I need to move Ministry for the future up my TBR pile.

The last of his books I read,New York 2140, had a main character who was a "market trader" who dealt in flooded/soon to be flooded global properties. I was surprised when I read an article about a company who does that about a year ago.

:edit:: ...forgot to mention it is a good article, it provides insight into KSR's biography that I was not familiar with. I don't think I would (or could) go on one of his hikes however ;-)

>2 paradoxosalpha: I did not enjoy Aurora. Too pessimistic and ultimately pointless.

As I was reflecting on the gloss the interviewer gave Aurora, it sounded like a sort of "hard" version of the goofy interstellar epilog in Don't Look Up. The fact that it riled fans is something of an attraction, though, I have to admit (although I am one).

His Mars trilogy is still in my TBR pile. I must get to it. After I make my way through Corey’s The Expanse!

I loved the Mars trilogy (and I still need to read The Martians), but I liked The Years of Rice and Salt even better.

>1 Neil_Luvs_Books: Thanks for sharing this which I just read now. I am about half-way through The Ministry for the Future and I thought it was time to check in with KSR. What a great writer he is.

Thanks for posting that. I'll be reading Ministry for the Future soon, as it was just made this month's selection in my monthly reading group.
