My sister is looking for a series of about 3? books written maybe in the 1970's. The author worked for a newspaper based in victoria or Vancouver.
The book in question is a somewhat humorous account with details the pros and cons of living on islands in the straits o Juan De Fuca BC.
anyone having some idea of who this author or perhaps a title of such a book would be appreciated to answer this,
Thx, Jim

thx lesmel, I clicked on the link you've provided but it takes me back to this same post. I'm sure there is something I am suppose to deduce from this action but I am currently clueless but awaiting a reply for a title or author to the two books i've described in the two posts.
Thx, again, sorry I don't have a firmer grip on how things work here.

It was marked as a duplicate because the thread was posted twice by mistake, and we would rather have all the comments in one place. I'll put my comments on the other one.

>4 beyondthefourthwall: I did edit it perhaps twice but was totally unaware if or not this site makes another post of it. I think it best if I don't do anything for a day or so and see if there is a reply to my pleas.
thx, Jim

>5 jimmr: Double posts are no big deal. I saw your two posts when I started looking for your book. Could they be Once Upon an Island and One Man's Island by David Conover? There are two books. The first one is about Wallace Island.

>6 vorkosigan: thx vorkosigan, she thinks that sounds familiar but since she's watching TV (egads) i'll have to wait or a answer.
