Ranger & Meadow's story. The SEAL who has retreated in the woods and lives off the land finally gets his story. Ranger shuns the world unless he has a job babysitting clients and only comes into town when he has to. The team visits him occasionally, but leaves him on his own. His world is changed when he finds an almost dead woman in the remote area where he lives. The woman he finds, Meadow, has been attacked, sliced, abused, and left for dead. He helps her navigate her trauma and they fall into a wary companionship. Teaching her to take care of the animals, tend to the gardens, and live the simple life starts to feel like more than companionship and both of them start developing feelings. An emotional journey for both of them as they get to know each other and with a little help from Miller and Finn the couple face their demons together. Can't wait till the next book in the series ( )

So good! I love that Ranger took care of Meadow....and everything else too. Great story! ( )

This author is one of my favorites for a reason. Her characters are more than just imaginary they become etched into the fabric of who I am. They are always real and heartfelt.

I have wanted Ranger's story for awhile. I'm glad he found Meadow. This story was missing something from the other books in this series though. It just seemed tame. That being said, it still was another great book by a fabulous author. ( )
