This book was smaller than I expected - a pocket size book - which could come in handy, but it meant there was less in it than I had expected. It covers the basic concepts of knowledge management well enough, with some good examples. I did not feel it was an incredibly practical book though, despite its attempts to set out a step by step guide for knowledge management. I felt it did not really explain in a clear and generic manner how to implement and carry through a knowledge management strategy - primarily because the book was too short.

This was also not the most readable guide ever. It was not actually hard going, but the style was not particularly engaging.

The book also comes to a rather abrupt end before churning out a huge and useful glossary and plenty of lists of further reading.

All in all this is a pretty good primer, but further reading will be required. ( )
