The story is not realistic but it does its job of providing opportunity for the steamy scenes.
This was a quick, easy read. Though erotica is usually not my genre of choice, I enjoy the author's blog, so thought I'd give the book a try because it was a short. To my surprise, I enjoyed the story. I cared about the character, liked her, and appreciated the fact that she wasn't a stick-thin, cardboard character. She was real and took a chance to walk on the wild side. This was so much better written than the other erotic stories I've picked up. To my surprise, I enjoyed it.
Since having read Ms. Gavin’s debut novel “Upside Down: Powerless” I’ve always looked forward to reading something new she has to offer, especially when it comes to the sizzling hot erotic threesome short stories she writes. I’ve already read/reviewed the first short story in this anthology “Between the Ghost and the Dom,” so I doubted I would be disappointed in reading the rest of the short stories contained in this book.
Club Desire had been the setting of the short story I’ve read, it is also the setting for the next three short stories, as well as others written by this author.
What is Club Desire? Club Desire is a very exclusive sex club located in the back of a non-descript art store visited by tourist in New Orleans. It’s a club where a member can have any sexual want or desire fulfilled; including threesomes, foursomes, sex toys, first-time lesbian sex, BDSM, humiliation and spanking; you want it you can get it.
Given the type of person I am, and at my age while just cuddling with my dear OH is quite satisfying; I love fantasizing I’m in the shoes of Clara, at Club Desire, doing the things she engages, arousing me to the point where I … I don’t have to tell you as you can imagine what happens.
The remaining two short stories I’ve found to be just as satisfying. For giving her readers this collection of short stories which should be read one at a time when you’re alone, so you won’t overdose on too much of a good thing [the way I did]; Ms. Gavin’s endeavor here is getting 5 STARS from this reviewer.… (mehr)

I downloaded this book free from a newsletter I was sent, and man was I blown away! I am really annoyed that this is a "standalone" (currently...) because the ending was the worst cliffhanger EVER!
This book was a time travel, romance novel - and O-M-G was it addicting. The 76 pages felt way to short for this wonderful world Liz was building. The book is unique (with a lead who is a historian with a PhD) and it really hit all the notes I wanted it to. The historian finds a locket and can travel through time, and then some romantic shenanigans occur to make this story wild and lusty!
Overall, I LOVED it! I want more by Liz Gavin immediately and more in this series ASAP! This author is one to watch for sure.
