Chuck Klosterman, currently a music, film, & culture critic for Ohio's "Akron Beacon Journal", began his career with "The Forum" in Fargo, North Dakota. He lives in Akron, Ohio, where he once consumed nothing but McDonald's Chicken McNuggets for seven straight days. Trotz dieser wenig einladenden Aussichten breitet sich ein vielschichtiges, oft satirisch überspitztes Bild der 80er Jahre und des öden Dorflebens mit seinen wenigen Höhepunkten aus.
